Friday Timber Taxation Workshop and Saturday Conference

2010 Magnolia Timberland Conference

Click Links Below:

It is our privilege to once again invite you to sponsor with us the 2010 Magnolia Landowner Conference on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Reynolds Center at SAU in Magnolia, Arkansas. The select speakers with in-depth presentations and friendly environment have become the conference’s trademark. Sponsor promotions are important to us and include mass mail, email, brochures, radio, newspaper and website sponsor advertising

This year’s 2010 conference focus is “Managing for tomorrow Today”. Never before have we faced a more uncertain economic environment with record losses and gains, echoing today’s informed decisions are tomorrow’s returns. So we have assembled in one conference national leaders in the housing market, timber market, pine plantation analysis and timber taxation to forge a comprehensive platform.

Our featured speaker is Dr. Kermit Baker, Senior Research Fellow at Joint Center of Housing Studies and Chief Economist for Harvard University presenting “What’s Ahead for the Residential Markets for 2011 and 2012” followed by Tom Harris the publisher and director for Timber Mart South presenting “Recovering Timber Markets”. Dr. Harry Haney will conduct a tax workshop and conference presentation on “Taxation and Legislative Uncertainties” and Teddy Reynolds will be presenting “Holding Forest Managers Accountable with Financial Returns”. That afternoon and evening includes the Reynolds Pine Plantation tour followed by dinner, social and entertainment.

In the past 5 years the conference has attracted over 850 landowners and professionals from 20 states.  The conference and sponsors are strategically promoted in brochures, direct mail-outs, emails, websites, newspapers, radio and newsletters. Over 8,000 landowners in the pine belt are directly contacted by email and mail. We look forward to your partnership in sponsoring this popular annual landowner conference.
